Previously fourth-ranked Vanderbilt has been swept by SEC opponent Florida.

This series was an important one as both teams are battling for the title of SEC East champion.

The final scores of the games:

10 - 0 (only seven innings played, Florida win)

6 - 2 (Florida win)

6 - 2 (Florida win)

The Gators are currently holding onto a one-game lead in the east over the Commodores.

Vanderbilt had some pitching troubles this series with both Carter Holton and Hunter Owen being scratched.

This left Vanderbilts bullpen missing two key components.

Owen was reported to be a late scratch as he was experiencing some shoulder soreness according to Vanderbilt head coach Tim Corbin.

Florida is currently placed at No. 4 in national rankings. Vanderbilt is ranked at No. 12.

With this series ending in a sweep, this final weekend of SEC play will determine the true winner of the SEC East.

In the final week of the regular season, Florida is set to take on No. 19 Kentucky this weekend in Lexington.

Vanderbilt will be taking on No. 2 Arkansas.
