LSU's Dylan Crews, Paul Skenes and Tommy White recognized with Collegiate Baseball honors

LSU's talented-trio of center fielder Dylan Crews, right-handed pitcher Paul Skenes and third baseman Tommy White has been honored with distinction of being named 2023 first-team All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball newspaper.


Crews, a junior, has emerged as a standout performer, leading the SEC and ranking seventh nationally with an impressive .420 batting average.


His impressive offensive contributions include 15 home runs, 13 doubles and 59 RBI.


Crews has proven to be a force for the Tigers, topping the league in on-base percentage (.567), runs scored (82) and walks (58).


Notably, Crews has also been recognized as the 2023 SEC Player of the Year.


His performance extends beyond the SEC conference, as he ranks second in the nation in on-base percentage, second in runs scored and tenth in walks. Additionally, Crews has a reached base streak of 62 games, spanning the entirety of the current season's 58 games and the final four games of the 2022 season.


Sophomore Tommy White has left a major mark on LSU's baseball program this season. With an impressive 91 RBI, he now holds the honor of having the fifth-highest single-season total in school history.


White's performance has positioned him as the second-ranked player in the nation for RBI per game (1.72) and third in total RBI. White's achievements extend beyond the national stage, as he was recognized as a first-team member on the 2023 All-SEC team.


Within the SEC conference, he ranks first in RBI, third in doubles (22), third in total bases (164), third in batting average (.387), fourth in slugging percentage (.774), fifth in hits (82) and eighth in home runs (20).


Junior Paul Skenes had dominated SEC pitching and climbed the LSU record books.


Leading the conference in several categories, Skenes has showcased his skills on the mound. He currently leads the SEC in wins with a total of 10, while also leading in strikeouts with 167. Additionally, Skenes tops the conference in earned run average (1.89), innings pitched (90.1) and opponent batting average (.166).
