Defending national champion Ole Miss has been eliminated from the SEC Tournament before it has begun.

After Ole Miss got swept by SEC opponent Auburn and Missouri beat Georgia, the defending NCAA champions will miss the annual SEC Tournament for the first time since 2011.

The Rebels were outscored by the Tigers in a doubleheader loss, 24-6. Auburn swept Ole Miss officially on Saturday, with a 13-5 defeat.

The Rebels are having the opposite of the season they had last year, with a record of 25-26 overall. Ole Miss is 6-21 in SEC play, which is good enough to place last in the West Division.

After losing nine straight conference games, the Rebels are heading to Tuscaloosa to hopefully break their losing streak.

With tough competition in the West division this season, with strong teams like Arkansas and LSU, Ole Miss will have to step up their game in order to compete with them next season.
